How do I know if my vehicle needs one or more service package upgrades?
Why should I consider upgrading to synthetic oil for my oil change?
Synthetic oil is formulated with additives to keep your engine clean and healthy. It also has a much longer “lifespan,” which means you can get twice the mileage out of synthetic oil compared to conventional.
Why should I consider an HVAC Disinfection Upgrade when replacing my cabin air filter?
If your cabin air smells musty or you’re noticing more allergy symptoms while driving, your vehicle’s HVAC system may need attention.
Over time, your cabin air filter fills with dust, pollen, debris, and even mold spores. Meanwhile, the HVAC system itself collects moisture, creating an environment that encourages bacteria and mold growth. That buildup can lead to odors, weak airflow, and added strain on your system.
A fresh cabin air filter helps keep contaminants from circulating inside your vehicle; the HVAC disinfection process additionally clears out bacteria and mold that may have already infiltrated the system beyond the cabin air filter. Together, they improve air quality and airflow so your system can run efficiently and you can breathe easier.
As a general rule, we recommend this disinfection service every six months. This is even more important if you regularly drive in dusty, humid, or high-pollen conditions, all of which increase strain on HVAC systems. Your vehicle and your lungs will thank you!
How do I know whether my vehicle needs a Rear Differential Service, a 4x4 Service Upgrade, or neither?
The type of drivetrain your vehicle has—front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD), all-wheel drive (AWD), or four-wheel drive (4WD)—determines the answer to this question. Here’s what to expect for each type:
Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)
FWD vehicles do not have a rear differential or transfer case; the differential is built into the transmission. This means they do not need differential or 4x4 service every 30,000 miles, and the differential is serviced as part of the transmission service every 60,000 miles. For this reason, we charge $100 less on our 30K Deluxe Service Package for FWD vehicles. (This discount does not apply to the 60K or 90K intervals, due to the additional labor required to access and service the transmission and spark plugs on FWD vehicles.)
Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD)
RWD vehicles have a rear differential that requires periodic service. For RWD vehicles, we recommend a Rear Differential Service (included in our standard Deluxe Service Packages) every 30,000 miles.
All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
AWD vehicles have additional drivetrain components, including front and rear differentials. For AWD vehicles, we recommend a 4x4 Service Upgrade (added onto any of our Deluxe Service Packages for an extra $100) every 30,000 miles.
Four-Wheel Drive (4WD)
4WD vehicles include the same components as AWD, plus a transfer case. For 4WD vehicles, we also recommend a 4x4 Service Upgrade (added onto any of our Deluxe Service Packages for an extra $100) every 30,000 miles.
