How do I know when it’s time to replace my brake pads and rotors?

Common signs it’s time for brake service include squeaking/squealing noises, reduced stopping power, and/or a rotor surface that looks smooth and “mirror-like.”

Brake pads wear down over time, and rotors can become worn or uneven. When that happens, braking performance becomes less consistent and less effective. We replace brake pads and rotors together because new pads need a smooth, even rotor surface to function properly; installing them on worn rotors can lead to faster wear.

Your brakes are a critical safety system. Even small reductions in performance can make a difference in how quickly your vehicle stops, especially in emergency situations. Replacing both components at the same time helps ensure reliable, predictable braking and a safer ride overall.
